FAQ

Frequently asked questions about our wedding videography services

How Long In Advance Should We Book You?

As soon as you have a confirmed secure date you can book us, we only take on a limited number of commissions every season to ensure great customer service, during the summer months we get numerous inquiries for the most popular dates. Most of our weddings are booked at least a year in advance.

Do You Film All Types Of Ceremonies?

Yes! we love to film for different ceremonies, Greek, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim Civil Partnerships etc. you name it we do it.

Do You Cover Weddings Outside Of Scotland?

Yes. We cover all of the UK and abroad. We do however have to add on a charge to cover petrol and on rare occasions accommodation costs however we try to keep these costs to a minimum by only charging the cost of the petrol and not a per mile cost.

Can We Choose Our Own Music?

We recommend that couples give us 3-5 favourites  songs that they really love. We will use them in full length film. For the trailer we choose instrumental music as it’s published in internet/ social media and it needs different licence.

Can We Meet Before The Wedding?

Of course, we would love to meet you before the wedding face to face, its great to get to know our couple prior to the wedding as it puts everyone at ease with each other, which in turn creates a natural beautiful film.

How Much Is The Deposit?

We usually take payments as 20% of the total wedding cost as the first payment to secure the date as a non refundable deposit, the final payment is due on wedding day. We do not consider the date booked with us until the deposit is paid and a booking form signed.

Our Wedding Is In The Night, Do You Use Lights?

We try not to use lights wherever possible as it ruins the ambiance of the venue and guest can feel uncomfortable, but if the venue is extremely dark we do use very discreet lighting.

Do You Film Destination Weddings?

Definitely! We’ll ask you to cover our flight and accommodation costs.

How Does The Relationship Between The Photographer And Videographer Work?

Over the years I have worked with many photographers some on repeated occasions and there has never been a problem. If i have a set way I get certain shots I always speak to the photographer before hand to make sure it wont get in the way of his shot and vice-versa. The reason we are there is to capture your wedding the best we can and that will only happen if the photographer and videographer work together with this aim in mind. I’m happy to say over the years this has always been the case.

Can We Make Changes?

You can make changes within reason. You have seen our work and you like our style so have an idea of what we will produce. However we want it to be perfect for you and there maybe a shot you want taking out or adding in etc so we are more than happy to do this to ensure its just right for you.

How Long Do You Keep A Copy Of Our Wedding Footage?

Once the video is signed off and you have received your final copies we will keep the raw footage for 2 months after which time it will be deleted. We will however keep copies of your final film in case you wish to order more copies in the future.
